Sažetak
This paper presents a method for solving problems related to Saint-Venant's torsion. The evaluated method can primarily be used in analyses of stress and warping, but also for calculation of stiffness of any prismatic solid with uniform cross-section, such as shafts, prismatic thin-wall shells, etc. Warping is defined by a so-called warping (i.e. Saint-Venant's) function that satisfies Laplace's differential equation. By partial integration, Laplace's differential equation originates integral equations, whose solution is a warping function. Due to the difficulty of founding an exact solution of those integral equations, it is convenient to apply some numerical methods, such as so-called boundary element method. As soon as the warping function is determined, the analyses of stress, warping and stiffness require minor number of additional numerical operations
