Sažetak
Bauxite samples were digested in industrial and synthetic aluminate base in order to examine the digestion reaction in boehmite contained in bauxite. Gibbsite was selectively separated during 2h digestion at 100C, so that the boehmite digestion process could be traced at higher temperatures (160220º ; C). Experimental data were analyzed by the integral method according to the first order kinetic equation, and according to the Kazeev equation. Boehmite digestion was found to take place according to the first order pattern. Based on the Kazeev´s equation parameter (n=0.971.03) and on the values of activation energy (E_a=53.0357.45 kJ mol^-1) the conclusion was reached that boehmite digestion in the temperature interval examined took place in the transition area.
