Sažetak
A series of novel benzimidazole derivatives 3-10 were synthesized. Compound 3 and 4 are bearing cyano substituent on ethylenic chain of the 2-styryl-benzimidazole. This acyclic compounds gave in the reaction of photochemical dehydrocyclization corrresponding benzimidazo[1, 2-a]quinolines 5 and 6 with the cyano substituent at the possition 6 and 2. Pinner reaction of this compounds didn't give expecting mono- and di-amidines, but in all cases compounds 7-10 with amido group at position 6 were isolated. The mechanism of the reaction is propossed. Acyclic compounds 3 and 4 as well as cyclic benzimidazo[1, 2-a]quinolines 5-8 exhibit interesting spectroscopic properties.
