Sažetak
Tuberculin hypersensitivity in 113 Mantoux positive and 73 Mantoux negative persons was assessed in vitro by inhibition of leucocyte migration (from capillaries of 40 and 10 microliters) and by monocyte spreading inhibition. Using bigger capillaries we have not obsered a significant inhibition of leucocyte migration in Mantoux positive persons in the presence of tuberculin. On the contrary, a significant inhibition was detected when capillary tubes of 10 microliters were used. Moreover, in that case we found a parallelism between the intensity of Mantoux reaction and the degree of migration inhibition. Tuberculin significantly inhibited the spreading of peripheral blood monocytes from Mantoux positive persons and the degree of inhibition correlated with the intensity of the skin reaction to tuberculin. The test of monocyte spreading compares favorably with the technique of leucocyte migration from small tubes. We belive, therfore, that both the leucocyte migration from micro-capillary tubes and monocyte spreading inhibition could be used in clinicl practice for the in vitro investigation of tuberculin hypersensitivity.
