Sažetak
Application of polymer materials in marine environment has opened and still opens sequence of problems concerning the selection of polymers of pertinent physical and chemical properties important in the sea-water/air conditions. Requirements for greater ship velocities, lighter structure, and better anticorrosive resistance are factors which have forced shipbuilders and consequently scientific institutions to change the classic materials with polymers. In this paper description of development of the scientific project “Application of polymer materials in marine environment”, financed by the Ministry of science and technology of the Republic of Croatia, is given. During the investigation of specific areas of this project many operational research methods were implemented.
