Sažetak
The yield of hydrogen formed during cathodic polarization of aluminium in neutral salt solutions was measured volumetrically as a function of current density and temperature. It was established that at any current density above 0.5 mA cm^-2 and at any temperature the yield is larger than 200% ; implying that a simultaneous dissolution of aluminium is an inherent part of the cathodic process.
