Sažetak
A new high-resolution analysis of the nu_1 + nu_3 band of the ^15NO_2 isotopomer of the nitrogen dioxide in the 3.4 mum region has been performed. A Hamiltonian matrix which accounts for both the Coriolis and spin-rotation interactions enabled accurate determination of the experimental spin-rotation energy levels of the {; ; ; (120), (101)}; ; ; interacting states of ^15NO_2. Using the reproduced energy levels and the transition moment operator for the line intensities calculation obtained for the main isotopic species, ^14NO_2, a comprehensive list of the line positions and intensities of the nu_1 + nu_3 band for ^15NO_2 has been generated. For the first time the nu_6 band of cis-HONO located at 639.7432 cm-1 was analyzed using a high-resolution FT-IR spectrum. A Hamiltonian matrix which takes explicitly into account the A-type and B-type Coriolis resonances linking the {; ; ; ; 5^1, 6^1}; ; ; ; interacting energy levels was used during the energy levels calculation. Although a rather accurate assignment of the nu_6 band of cis-HONO was performed, the nu_5 band of cis-HONO could not be unambiguously identified since it is overlapped by the strong nu_5 and nu_6 bands of trans-HONO. Using the reproduced energy levels and the estimated band intensities, a comprehensive list of line positions and intensities has been generated for the nu_6 band of cis-HONO. Studies in progress including the high-resolution analysis of the nu_2 band of HNO_3 and the measurement of relative line intensities of the nu_3 and nu_4 bands of HNO_3 have been shortly discussed.
