Sažetak
2H-Chromenes or 2H-l-benzopyrans have been the subject of extensive studies largely because of their photochromism and its application in display and storage of information as well as solar energy converion. Our interests in chiral 2H-chromenes and indolinospirobenzopyrans and -oxazines were related to separation of their enantiomers and determination of barriers to racemization. This study is concerned with the synthesis of the novel spiro[indolino-naphthopyrans] l and 2 and determination of barriers for reversible thermal cleavage of the C(sp3 )-O bond by dynamic 1H NMR spectroscopy. The free enthalpy of activation for l amounts to ∆ G≠ = 77 kJ/mol.
