Sažetak
Separation or enrichment of enantiomers of the novel chromenes (l)-(5) were accomplished by liquid chromatography on triacetyl– or tribenzoylcellulose. The barriers to reversible electrocyclic ring opening were determined by thermal racemization of the separated enantiomers. Gibbs energies of activation, ∆ G≠ , for interconversion of enantiomers of (l), (3) and (4) amount to l06-l23 kJ/mol. Photochemically induced interconversion of preparatively isolated enentiomers, that is, photoracemization, was also performed for (l).
