Sažetak
Liquid chromatography on triacetylcellulose or tribenzoylcellulose (scheme) is a method which has been successfully applied to the separation of enentiomers of different, in particular, lipophilic organic compounds. The main feature of the method is that enables separation of enantiomers of the molecules which do not possess special functional groups and therefore is a general method. The principle and the application of the method to some classes of chiral compounds as N-aryl-2 (H)-quinolones and N– aryl-6(5H) phenantridinones, N-aryl- and N-heteroaryl-pyrroles2 trifluoromethylsubstituted dibenzosemibullvalenes, N-aryl– l, 2, 3, 4-terahydro-2, 4-quinoline diones and corresponding thiones as well as 2H-benzopyranes, will be shown. The possibilities of the application of that method for separation of enantiomers to compounds of pharmacological interest will also be shown. That is of importance in the field of new chiral drug development were strict requirements are placed on comparative evaluation of the pharmacological activities, toxicities and pharmacokinetic properties of the separated enantiomers.
