Sažetak
Objective: To compare the length of sepsis symptoms (clinical and laboratory signs) and outcomes in the group of newborns with surgical diseases treated with usual intensive measures (volume substitution, inotropes, antibiotics)and the group of newborns treated with ATIII. Results: Clinical improvement and normalisation of coagulogram was achieved in second group in 36 to 48 hours, thrombocyte count normalisation in 72 to 96 hours. The length od hospital stay and mortality rate was not statistically different in these two groups, probably because of the small number of patients.
