Sažetak
Considering the constant development of the instruments and measuring techniques, we should be prepared for calculations which would not imply the unnecessary additional errors. Accordingly, this paper points at diverging definitions of the basic parameters of the Bessel's ellipsoid, suggesting Helmert's semiaxes logarithms as initial and errorless values. It also gives numeric values of semiaxes and other derived constants with 24 valid digits.
