Sažetak
Production of oil and gas from oilfields in the inital phase utilize primary formation energy. In the second phase of hydrocarbon production, formation energy is decreased and is insufficient to bring oil to the surface. In order to maintain formation energy level needed for oil flow at the surface, water is pumped into underground oil bearing reservoirs through water injection wells. However, introduction of injection water into oil reservoirs can cause significant formation damage, since injection water can carry along various inorganic and/or organic materials. Formation damage either by inorganic and/or organic material considerably reduce water injection rate during waterflooding process.
