Sažetak
In this paper the unnecessary conflicts between traffic flows and methods to reduce them are observed and analysed. The unnecessary conflicts between traffic flows in cities substially influence the capacity of intersections and the traffic safety due to the complexity of parameters, which influence them. Applying the here analysed methods better solutions, which lead to the optimal solution of the traffic organisation in the already existing network, with the minimal financial costs, are found.
Although the emphasisi is given to the road transport, these methods can be applied to all types of transport. Current satellite navigation and the possibility of recording traffic flows by using GPS technology is giving us unimagined possibilities of exploring and applying the modern methods of traffic flow organisation.
