Sažetak
Present efforts by the academia and industry to move to the next level of abstraction have been partially successful at best. Without well defined models and clean semantics only very little progress can be expected. In order to establish adequate set of models we can use the concept of model algebra which in turn simplifies simulation, synthesis and verification. Such an approach removes the differentiation between software and hardware since both originate from the same model algebra.
