Sažetak
For a long time hydraulic transportation of dry bulk cargoes has been considered too expensive in comparison with the existing mechanical transportation systems. Along with introduction of automation in transport and production processes fluid transportation methods have entered into use, particularly where processes allow simultaneous application of transportation means also to technical duties such as concentration, separation, reduction and cooling of transported goods. The process of transportation may be at the same time connected with conversion of materials, temperature alteration process and chemical reactions. The fact that pipeline transportation has been applied to a considerable extent is indicative of possibilities and limitations of slurry systems existing so far in hydraulic transportation of bulk cargoes, such as coal, iron ore, phosphates, etc. Transportation of these cargoes are inevitably accompanied with occassional standstills of shorter or longer durations that require maximum reduction. The task calls for optimization methods on one hand and a cybernetic model on the other. This paper emphasizes the significance of closely linked transport and technological segments of slurry technology integrated into a single whole. The choice of the transportation system, however, has been made on the basis of physical advantages and on the analogy of electrical current flow.
