Sažetak
The decision element is fundamental to the identity of operational research. Depending on the problem characteristics, there are many ways of solving the problem. Simulation is a technique for solving problems which are not as tractable subject to mathematical and computational approaches, and does not usually give an optimal solution. To find the best values of a decision variables for problems which defy analytical solution, mathematical programming techniques may be applied to simulation. Their use in modelling and simulation context is discussed in the article.
