Sažetak
The launch pad was constructed in the 1920-ies and was used to test torpedoes. The first torpedoes in the world were built in Rijeka in the 19th century, so, nowadays, this building is part of the protected industrial heritage of Rijeka. The reinforced concrete structure of the torpedo launch pad is situated in the marine environment and suffers from a considerable damage due to the corrosion of the steel reinforcement. Methodology of evaluation of current condition of launch pad's structure contains the two important parts. The first part is based on examination of collected documentations and complements by visual inspection of structure and preliminary categorisation of damages, too. The second part of evaluation methodology refers to very detailed ” in situ“ and laboratory tests as a basis for calculation of residual bearing capacity of main structure. This paper represents methodology of evaluation of current condition of launch pad's structure, cites conclusions we carried out and discusses possibilities for repairing of reinforced concrete main structure where primary goal we intend to achieve is to extend the period of utilisation of this extremely valuable monument of industrial heritage.
