Sažetak
The core of the book under review revolves around the assumption that text types can, owing to their characteristic and recognizable structure and intended function, assume the status of analytic determinants, motivating the analyst to adopt a specific analytical procedure. In addition to the assessment and account of the degree of analytic determinism pertaining to a given kind of persuasive text as its primary objective, the book also has a secondary objective— a search for relevant ways of reconciling the traditional discourse analysis with the cognitive linguistic approach to discourse.
