Sažetak
This work presents the development of a new procedure used in analysing the material flow during its extrusion through a hollow die, applied in the tube and hollow section production. The methods concerns the analysis of surface shape in the tube obtained in joining two billets during a continuos extruding process. The joining length runs along the longithudinal axis of the tube forming a smooth three-dimensinal form ; its shape depending on the material of the joining surface has been defined by the length dz taken lomgitudinally at separate cross-sections of the tube. The experiments done have shown the interaction of the temperature, the degree of deformation and height of the die welding chamber on the shape of the joining surface. Thus the joining length dz is greatly affected by the degree of deformation and the temperature and somewhat by the height of welding chamber. The tests were done in the laboratory by extruding the Al99, 5 tubes, so as to abtain the opzimization of extrusion parameters, Taking the minimal length dz as the base. It has been shown that the joining length dz in tubes may be shortened by increasing the temperature, reducing the degree of deformation and lowering the height of the die welding chamber
