Sažetak
Vibration analysis may be successfully performed by the finite element method using 2D and 3D models of complete ship structure. Since such an analysis is very time consuming, it is used only for final analysis. In early design stage, when the global ship response is considered, the complete ship hull may be presented by a 1D model. However, its classical application is limited to lower natural modes. In order to cover needs of propeller excited forced vibration and to increase the accuracy of the beam model, vibration properties, such as hull stiffness, added mass and damping, are specified as modal quantities.
