Sažetak
The oil crisis has given rise to the production of new types of the marine diesel engines with low fuel consumption. Their characteristics are long stoke, reduced number of cylinders and reduced speed. Structural dynamic characteristics of new engines have not yet being investigated. Therefore, a procedure for lateral vibration analysis of these engines utilizing the finite element method is presented in this paper.
