Sažetak
The selection of railway line for reconstruction represents capital investment decision making. The decision-making process, including making decisions on capital investments has been explicitly complex. Therefore, the decisions cannot be made intuitively. They must be the result of applied scientific methods. There are numerous methods which are mainly different in optimization criteria. The projects can be, namely, evaluated through one criterion, but also on the basis of several criteria. The methods of multi-criteria decision-making are used when all the indicators cannot be presented through one criterion, most often through money, and the weights of individual criteria are determined in different ways, and evaluated or classified within a single criterion. The work applies the AHP method (Analytic Hierarchy Process), as one of the better known multi-criteria analyses, and one often used in solving the problems in the field of traffic and transport. The aim of this work is to implement the Analytic Hierarchy Process in order to select the best variant solution of the reconstruction of the Osijek – Strizivojna/Vrpolje railway line as part of Corridor V.c. According to the existing project documentation there are four variants of reconstruction solutions (Variant 1, Variant 2, Variant 3, Variant 3a), which differ mostly in the deviations in the region of Vinkovci and Meteor. The function of objective represents a selection of the reconstruction projects on the Osijek – Strizivojna/Vrpolje railway line, that is, a selection of the railway line reconstruction variant. Alternatives represent variant solutions, which are Variant 1, Variant 2, Variant 3 and Variant 3a. The criteria are the following technological and technical solutions, safety in traffic, economic indicators, and ecological and space and urban planning indicators.
