Sažetak
The manufacturing system planning combines the knowledge from the field of design and application of manufacturing equipment (machine tools), transport and manipulation equipment and information technology. In the light of the simultaneous engineering philosophy, it is very important the early phase of planning - the elaboration of the global concept. The developed procedure of computer aid to planning of the MS concept comprises a suitable Cluster methodology to segment the total assortment of the production program based on design, technological and production parameters. A developed computer aided procedure helps the manufacturing system planner in phase of the global concept definition because of activity speed, routine, and scientific approach to receiving fundamental solutions which serve as a quick and quality support of a more detailed continuation of the manufacturing system planning process.
