Sažetak
This paper presents method for calculation of average pressure and flow of incompressible lubricant in hydrostatic bearing with parallel surfaces, which differs from the usual methods. For the calculation of average pressure, a unique expression is developed, with which the average pressure can be calculated by simple integration of lubricant flow over bearings boundary. Lubricant flow over bearings boundary is determined as a solution of integral equation of equilibrium, which is convenient to be reduced into the ordinary system of linear equations by application of boundary element method. Expressions for calculation of pressure in the bearing and lubricant flow through the bearing are also presented. Numerical results are compared with those obtained by finite difference method.
