Sažetak
This paper deals with analysing continuous beams on several supports loaded by concentrated forces and uniformly distributed continuous load. The dependence of bending moment on the beam curvature has been derived, assuming that the state of strain in the beam is elastic-plastic. Continuous beams of rectangular cross-section and I-cross-section, made of elastic-perfectly plastic and elastic-linear strain-hardening material, respectively, have been considered, with varying magnitude of the tangential elasto-plastic modulus. Expressions defining the dependence of the elastic range height on the bending moment have been derived. The spread of plastified regions in the beams has been monitored by means of those expressions. Finally, an analysis of the limit state of the structure has been carried out and plastic collapse mechanisms have been constructed. The limit load of the structure has been determined by using the virtual displacement method.
