Sažetak
Human knowledge doubles every seven years, and approximately half century passes from the beginning of high school education to the end of career for a journalist or media manager. Accepting the Bologna process as a guideline for education of future journalists and media managers in the SE Europe, we have to adopt a system of easily readable and comparable degrees, to adopt a system with two main cycles (undergraduate/graduate), to establish a system of credits (such as ECTS), to promote mobility by overcoming legal recognition and administrative obstacles, to promote European co-operation in quality assurance, and to promote a European dimension in higher education. Even in the media industry the higher education has to be able to promote employability (The Sorbonne Declaration, May 25th, 1998), and relevant to the European labour market (The Bologna Declaration, June 19th, 1999).
