Sažetak
A proposal of the concept of the higher-level educational system for the defense is submitted in the article. Such a system would involve uniformed armed forces’ officers and administrative officers in the government defense services and in the defense industry as well. The system may be suitable for smaller European country, with relatively developed and complex system of civil university education, but without full-blown functioning military academies in existence. Such a system is aligned with current national educational legal regulations and does not require the creation of the new legal framework. Proposed concept of the educational system is open for further development and detailing but with the overarching purpose of continuous education of personnel in accordance with the needs of the defense but with individual ambitions as well.
