Sažetak
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether and how context of war, violence and death affects children's conceptualisation of death. An attempt was made to explore possible effects of different kinds of variables previously studied separately. In addition, the influence of the specific war experiences was examined, to our knowledge, for the first time. More specifically, the aim was to examine relative importance of different demographic (age, gender, education of parents), cognitive (conservation ability and differentiation of animate and inanimate objects) and experiential variables (wartime and peacetime experience with death and violence) and fear of death in prediction of mastery level of different aspects of the death concept.
