Sažetak
All-protected vehicles are escort vehicles in peace-keeping operations and humanitarian demining. These vehicles have to be resistant to mines that can be found in mine suspected areas. As the Republic of Croatia is the leading country in machine demining, it also has the priority in designing and creating mine-protected and ballistic-protected vehicles. Their purpose is that from the inside of these escort vehicles the deminining machines are remotely controlled. Requests were made to design the vehicles in two variants, as transporters and as citadels. Between the ground and the bottom of the vehicle, the pressure shock wave coming from the AT mine, impacting the bottom and lateral sides of the vehicle, reaches very high level which has to be absorbed. In this work one can find vehicle design and calculation of pressure shock wave on vehicle bottom and lateral sides. The safety compartment / citadel is protected against mine threats by a multi-layered undercarriage structure. This consists of a sandwich construction which is designed to absorb fragmenting mine blasts and can be enhanced to provide protection against anti-tank mines by fitting a blast shield. The key to surviving mine blast is effective absorption or dissipation of energy.
