Sažetak
The difficulties in analysing the capital coefficient are the major problems of the economic policy development not only of the tourism and catering branch, but of the entire national economy. This study analyses the efficiency of economy activities of the Croatian tourism by applying the capital coefficient method for the period from 1960 to 1990. The value of the catering and tourism capital coefficient is indicative as besides the investment comparative efficiency in the sector it identifies greater changes that have occurred in the economy during a longer period. Based on the analysis of the capital coefficient it is possible to quantitatively diagnose the interpendence investment and economy development characteristics of Croatian tourism.
