Sažetak
Measurements of electrical conductance and of the thermoelectric force are reported for oriented solid Na-DNA samples with different amounts of adsorbed H2O. It is shown that H2O has a profound influence on the electrical transport mechanism, influencing both the absolute values of conductance, its energy of activation, and the sign of charge carriers. The semiconductor band model, with the adsorbed H2O molecules acting either as electron donors or acceptors, or proton donors, has been used in interpretation of results, and shown to be, at least, in qualitative agreement.
