Sažetak
This presentation deals with the potential of Richard Florida's approach to measuring the potential for the creative economy in a given area. The aspects of his "3Ts" (technology, talent, and tolerance) are discussed in an intercultural (U.S. American vs. European)perspective and with respect for serving as a basis for methodologically more rigorous procedures in the social sciences. Special attention is devoted to the new media and new economy context in which Florida's theories originated. His work is viewed as an actual description of the pre-dot.com bubble burst narrations regarding its social and cultural context.
