Sažetak
Taxonomical differences between Croatian loaches are revealed based on their morphological characters, but their chromosome complements have not yet been investigated. Newly described species Cobitis jadove have been cytogenetically analyzed in this paper for the first time. A total number of 5 specimens were collected in the River Jadova. Cytogenetic analysis of gill and kidney tissue revealed diploid chromosome number, 2n=50, in both males and females. Number of chromosomes, their morphology and determination of chromosome’ s arms (NF number) were made for each specimen.
