Sažetak
Experiences and Tendencies in development of local and regional self-government in the Republic of Croatia show the necessity of sthrengthening decentralization processes. It is also necessary to study statistical, but administrativ-territorial regionalization. The author gave the overview of local and regional government development since 1990 with special emphasis on fiscal democratization and qualifying of local and regional governments' capacities.
