Sažetak
Corporate social responsibility has grown exponentially in the last 15 years. More companies than ever before are engaged in serious efforts to define and integrate CSR into all aspects of their business. Stakeholders including shareholders, analysts, regulators, activists, labour unions, employees, community organisations, and the news media are asking companies to be accountable not only for their own performance but for the performance of their entire supply chain, and for an ever-changing set of CSR issues. CSR is viewed as a comprehensive set of policies, practices and programs that are integrated into business operations, supply chains, and decision-making processes throughout the company and includes responsibility for current and past actions as well as future impacts. CSR typically includes issues related to: business ethics, community investment, environment, governance, human rights, marketplace and workplace. In this paper it will be investigated whether Croatian firms are aware of the need for implementation CSR in comparison with some Eastern European countries.
