Sažetak
Simulating the infiltration model for the period of research work, the model relative error of 9.7% was obtained. This indicates that the mathematical model Varkom can be successfully used in hydrologic practice for the computation of effective infiltration. The model can be applied in the areas with the hydrogeological and biological characteristics similar to those relevant for the test station, and with the climatic conditions corresponding to those existing in the northwest regions of the Republic of Croatia. For the analysed hydrologic processes, six hydrologic years of research work seem to be too short period to be able to determine the model parameters with higher reliability. Therefore, the research work will be continued in the subsequent years.
