Sažetak
As the concentration of population and economic activities in coastal areas increases, the pressures on limited coastal resources become a serious threat, not only to the natural environment and further economic development, but also to the future existence in this area as well. In addition to the high concentration of population and industrial and other economic activities, the fundamental causes of the coastal environmental degradation are inadequate economic policies, weak regulatory and administrative systems and insufficient public awareness and political resolve.
