Sažetak
Countries often privatize state-owned companies using a case-by-case approach in which they plan each divestiture and carry it out individually. The case-by-case approach includes several different privatization techniques. The technique that should be used depends primarily on the country's objectives, especially regarding the degree and dispersion of private ownership of former public assets. The choice also depends on an enterprise's individual characteristics, such as its size and financial condition, the sector in which it operates, and the market structure. In the case of Croatia also case-by-case approach was followed. Here, we present the privatization cases of three big Croatian companies: Viadukt, Končar and Tehnika.
