Sažetak
Privatisation takes many forms, and does not just involve transfer of assets from the public. It is hard to determine optimal privatization model for current circumstances in Croatia. Some examples of privatization of big companies with models that respect the dimension of economic democracy, social responsibility and justly involve employees and other stakeholder groups in privatization process, show that privatization can be looked upon not only as a threat, but as an opportunity. In this chapter we give a concise overview of basic characteristics of privatization models in Croatia and their influence on employee stock ownership.
