Sažetak
Present work is the study of the constructions of the office task chairs with respect to safety, arising from to their dimensional compliance with current standards, and of the seating comfort of various upholsteries (materials). It is very important that dimensions, design and engineering of this furniture incorporate ergonomic principles and laws which ensure quality and safety of seating and work. Prolonged use of anthropologically and ergonomically unsuited task chair combined with the pressure of the sitting bones on the seat cause discomfort and problems. A hard seat generates high pressures under the sitting bones which are spread over the surrounding tissues causing discomfort, unsafe, unrelaxed and more tiring sitting, stress and reduced concentration at work.
