Sažetak
Instead of global unification we are faced with the globalisation of differences. the art of accepting differences is becoming one of the essential traits of 'new' modernity. The intercultural concept seems to be possible way of performing this art in modern plural societies. A brief socio-historical review of the Croatian educational system can illustrate the presence of a certain form of multiculturalist (if not interculturalist) approach to education in this culturally and ethnically plural society.
