Sažetak
'New nationalisms', 'ethnic cleansing' and 'tribalism' - these and similar concepts have been with us since totalitarianism and communism were ousted in the countries of the former Soviet bloc. Contrary notions, such as returning to Europe, have also been in vogue among intellectuals of the East and West alike. It was only natural that leaders and intellectuals of the west and East equally celebrated the collapse of communism and at the same time noted that although the Iron Curtain was dismantled, a new, even more troublesome dividing wall separated the newly liberated east Europeans from rest of the world.
