Sažetak
, constituting pyrrolic macrocycles, have attracted interdisciplinary interest since their molecular design and multiple functions allow applications in many fields of science (medicine, pharmacology, technique, … ). These systems are essential in life processes. For instance, heme, the pigment of blood, responsible of oxygen transport to cells, is a porphyrin with an iron atom in the center of porphyrinic core. As an important example of medicinal application of porphyrins, their property to act as a sensitizer in photodynamic therapy of tumour, must be emphasized. We have undertaken the study of molecules similar to porphyrins, such as tetraoxaporphyrin dication, where nitrogen atoms and NH groups are substituted by oxygen atoms. First results, using Raman spectroscopy, have already appeared in literature [1]. We will present a few informations about structure and properties for some of described molecules. Further, because of great importance of porphyrins in diverse biological processes, we have decided to investigate trace elements composition of samples prepared from suitable salts used in previous measurements. For this purpose we have used x-ray fluorescence spectrometry.
