Sažetak
We investigated the effects of small dose of botulinum toxin type-A (50U) for the treatment of pain in cervical dystonia. Twenty-one patients with painful cervical dystonia were included in the 3-month prospective studije. The patients baseline level of pain, dystonia score, Quality of life score, Functional capacity score were assessed before Botox injections and each week during 3-month study. Our result shown statistically significant pain relief already one week after treatment. On the contrary dystonia score did not change during the study. This indicate tah pain relief in cervical dystonia patients could be related not only to muscle relaxing properties but also some additional mechanisms
