Sažetak
Vortex, a simulation modelling programme, was used to explore the effects of deterministic forces as well as demographic and environmental stochastic events on a Griffon vulture population in Croatia. The model appeared to make reasonable predictions for the Griffon vulture population, and the simulation results showed that the risk of extinction greatly depends on the survival rate, reductions in the population growth and frequencies of catastrophes.
