Sažetak
Due to the infl uence of a large number of different parameters in actual newspaper production satisfying quality is not always achieved. Setting values which defi ne high quality newspaper (text and picture legibility, colour print register, look of fi nal newspaper, wiping colour...) many times we have reached a stage of contradiction aimed to satisfy all the parameters (newsprint paper, newsprint colour, moistening solution, rubber cover, offset plate, machine) having its defi ned characteristics. In an interactive meaning they represent a complex group determining the production standard. Regardless of its structure, it is required from the newsprint paper as lower as possible paper grammar weight (42, 5 g/m2) and greater smoothness of a surface. In order to increase smoothness, these papers often contain higher percentage of fi ller, they are slightly sticked, but are additionally satined by calender of different execution. Very important request is the satisfactory dimensional stability of the newsprint paper aimed to decrease diffi culties with the colour register. Therefore it’ s necessary to defi ne the transversal deformation of the parts of one page and the whole length (dimension) of the newsprint wheel (expressed in mm) in course of printing sequence between the printing units, depending on specifi ed paper grammar and thickness of paper, as elements determining the ability of section pressure reduction during printing, annulling deformation of paper surface.
