Sažetak
Two Cobitis populations from the Sava river near Zagreb were studied. In all 66 specimens of C elongata and 52 specimens of C. elongatoides were studied, caught on three locations from 2004 to 2006. Both species were present on all three locations. Cubic condition factor (CF), length-weight relationship, morphometric and meristic parameters were studied based on standard length. In all cases CF of C elongata was significantly lower (p<0.05) than that of C. elongatoides. However, overall b values of length-mass relationships were not significantly different between species, as there were only few specimens of C. elongatoides over 9 cm in standard length. There are some differences in morphometric parameters of both species, caused by the differences in the body dimensions. Considering meristic parameters, the differences between two species were registered in the number of rays in dorsal, pectoral and ventral fins.
