Sažetak
Temporal gait parameters were measured with our computerbased multichannel telemetry system for measurement, display and analysis of vertical forces from ambulatory subjects. The examinees were 15 normal subjects and 15 patients with different ankle, knee and hip diseases. The subjects walked straight for 20m at their normal speed in their own comfortable shoes so at least ten consecutive strides without artifacts were recorded. Ten strides were enough to account the parameters variability and produce the stable mean. Left and right stance, swing and double stance were measured with the resolution of 0.003s. Then stride times and cadence were calculated, and normalization of gait cycle was performed. All parameters for each subject were averaged over ten strides, and the mean values for the group of normals and for the group of patients were calculated. Mean values and ranges for stance and for sum of left and right double stance are used to establish classification criteria. According to the analyzed normal group normal values of stance are 605%, and of double stance (left plus right) are 22.56%. Vertical force waveforms of normal subjects usually have two peaks, while patients waveforms have different patterns. That property facilitates the classification.
