Sažetak
Of all the non invasive techniques, the most recent and innovative (except medical imaging techniques) is the evaluation of skeletal muscle state and body composition by means of impedance measurement. An important correlation between bioelectric impedance and Fat Free Mass (FFM) and Total Body Water (TBW) are is definitely proved. In the paper we present a possibility of FFM assessment in pork carcasses using multiple frequency bioimpedance analysis. First results show efficient correlation between bioimpedance-measured results and FFM as well as the possibility of correlation increase using formulas including, with bioimpedance values, weight or length of carcasses.
